Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC) is making its Centres aware that the application process for joining the Register of Training Organisations (ROTO) is shortly due to re-open, with the requirement that organisations already on the register reapply.
The Skills Funding Agency (SFA) will be accepting applications for the register from 2 June until 3 July 2015, with organisations already registered required to reapply as part of a refresh.
Any organisation wishing to provide education and training services on behalf of the SFA is required to be on the register, including any organisation that:
- Has an existing funding arrangement for the delivery of education and training;
- Wants to be invited to tender for funding to provide education and training; or
- Is a subcontractor holding contracts with an aggregate value of £100,000 or above each year.
As administrators of public funding, the SFA will only contract with providers and organisations that can clearly demonstrate they are financially secure. Entry on the register means that your organisation will become eligible to receive funding and be invited to compete in tenders, although it does not guarantee you will receive funding or a contract.
Organisations must also pass the SFA’s Due Diligence Assurance Gateway, which is open at select points during the year.
