We’d like to thank everyone who kindly supported our Team Highfield runners who took part in the Virgin Money London Marathon this April.
Our team got out their running shoes (again) this spring to take on the gruelling 26 miles and 365 yards course on what was one of the hottest days of the year.
And this year they raised an incredible £20,000 (including a £7500 contribution from Highfield itself) for VICTA, which works to provide equipment, services and events that help blind and visually impaired children and young people develop socially, emotionally and educationally, as well as offering their parents a vital network of support and information
As well as being a fantastic team effort, we wanted to give a special shout out to those who had never taken part in a marathon before, all of whom (Lee-Ann, Jennie, Rachel and Nicky) would like to pass on their thanks for helping them in their journey from complete marathon novices right up until crossing the finishing line.
