New Qualifications for Personal Development in Employability

Highfield has been consulting with centres over the last few months to see how we could further strengthen our offer of employability.

As a result, we have released 3 new qualifications at Entry Level. We’ve also added a new unit to all of our employability qualifications. This new unit is all about ‘Keeping yourself and others safe from COVID-19’.

What’s new?
We have added 3 new personal development for employability qualifications at entry level 3 to help learners develop their knowledge and skills in order to get into work or enhance their existing abilities.

  • Highfield Entry Level Award in Personal Development for Employability (Entry 3) (RQF) – 37 GLH
  • Highfield Entry Level Certificate in Personal Development for Employability (Entry 3) (RQF) – 105 GLH
  • Highfield Entry Level Extended Certificate in Personal Development for Employability (Entry 3) (RQF) – 200 GLH

In addition to these qualifications, we have also released a new unit on COVID-19 which has been included in these new qualifications and is also added to our existing employability qualifications.

The new qualifications will be assessed mainly by a portfolio of evidence, but some units are assessed by multiple-choice examination or practical demonstration.

You will be able to purchase the required learner registrations and examination papers both online and over the phone with our customer service team.

What this means for you
Your centre can start using these qualifications as soon as you are approved to deliver them by your account manager. While there is no formal requirement for assessors to hold a qualification to enable them to deliver these, there is a recommendation for a suitable level of occupational competence.

You can familiarise yourself with the new qualification specifications that are available on our website:
