Important changes in assessments for some of our qualifications

Following consultation with our centres, we’re making some important changes to a number of our qualifications.

The changes affect qualifications that currently offer more than one assessment unit for some units.

What’s changing?

From 1 July 2019, the units in these qualifications will only be assessed by one method of assessment, as indicated below:

What this means for you

Any assessments taking place on or after 1 July 2019 must abide by the requirements outlined in the table above.

Centre and tutor approval will not be affected by this change, however, centres must ensure they follow the requirements outlined within each of the qualification specifications. Updated qualification specifications will be made available from 1 June 2019.

Centres must ensure they have suitably knowledgeable and qualified assessors in place for units assessed by a portfolio of evidence and must abide by the examination and invigilation guidelines for units assessed by multiple-choice exam.
