At Highfield, we’re always looking for better ways to help you support your apprentices.
Which is why we’ve developed further on-programme qualifications so that you can give your apprentices the best possible start on their apprenticeship journey.
Designed after thorough feedback and consultation with training providers and employers, the qualifications cover the knowledge, skills and behaviour from a range of the most popular apprenticeship standards.
What’s more, they offer a reliable method of preparing your apprentices for their end-point assessments.
The following three qualifications were launched on 1 June 2019:
- Highfield Level 2 Diploma for Commis Chefs (RQF)
- Highfield Level 2 Diploma in Customer Service Skills (RQF)
- Highfield Level 3 Diploma in Customer Service Skills (RQF)
And from 1 July 2019, we’ll also be offering:
- Highfield Level 2 Diploma in Hospitality (RQF)
- Highfield Level 3 Diploma in Hospitality Supervision (RQF)
With the introduction of new qualifications, that does of course mean the withdrawal of old ones.
The following qualifications will be withdrawn on either 31 August 2019 or 30 September 2019, after which point no new learners will be able to register for them.
Centres will then have two years from this date to claim certification.

What does this mean for you?
Centres will have until 31 August 2019 or 30 September 2019 to register any learners on to the current versions of the qualifications.
Any learners who originally began on the current qualifications may transfer their registration over to the new qualifications if they prefer. In this case, the portfolios of evidence they produce must meet all of the assessment criteria from the new qualification they transfer to.
There will be no change to assessor or centre approval requirements and this approval will be transferred over automatically. There will also be no change to the registration fees.
All our qualifications are backed by our track record for great customer service.
We answer all calls within three rings (by a human, not an automated message), respond to emails in 24 hours, and process and issue certificates within 7 days of receiving all relevant paperwork.
It’s no surprise then that we received the coveted Awarding Organisation of the Year 2018 title from the Federation of Awarding Bodies (FAB).
