Yesterday we saw non-essential businesses in England start to re-open as COVID-19 lockdown restrictions were eased, with gyms and other leisure facilities hoping to re-open from July as part of wider proposals to further open up grassroots sports.
Those working as pool lifeguards at such establishments will need to remain qualified in order to get back to work as soon as it is safe to do so, and Highfield wants to provide support and reassurance to those working in the sector.
We are pleased to confirm that certificates for our Highfield Level 2 Award in Pool Lifeguarding (RQF) qualification that were due to expire on 30 June 2020 will now be extended by three months to 30 September 2020.
You do not need to do anything for this to happen. The extension will be implemented automatically so there’s no need to get in touch. Should anything change, we will review the extension period and update you accordingly.
In the meantime, we are offering a number of our other qualifications as part of our new ‘Qualify at Home’ suite, which includes award-winning e-learning, regulated e-assessment, and remote online invigilation.
