New qualification in an Introduction to Warehousing launched!

Having food and other essentials delivered directly to our front doors has proved crucial to many of our daily lives, and this trend for online retail and deliveries appears to be continuing despite lockdown easing.

And so, Highfield is proud to launch a brand-new qualification in an Introduction to Warehousing. Which is fully available for delivery and assessment now.

Who is this course for?
This is a knowledge only qualification which can be used to prepare learners to enter employment within a warehousing and storage environment. It also provides learners with an opportunity to progress to a qualification in the same subject area but at a higher level or where more specific knowledge, skills and understanding is required.

Learners undertaking this qualification will develop their underpinning knowledge and understanding in relation to the different careers and job roles available within the warehousing industry, as well as the functions that the industry serves.

How long is the course?
The qualification has a total qualification time of 128 hours, of which 104 are recommended as guided learning hours.

How is the qualification assessed?
It is assessed by an internally set and assessed portfolio of evidence. Highfield has provided you with assessment documentation you can use, which is available to download from the Members’ Area. You will need to have IQA processes in place, and you will be supported by our EQS team through engagements.

The fee per learner is £52.

How can I start to deliver?
You can now start to deliver this qualification. Please contact your account manager now, and they can start the approval process for you.

Before delivering your courses, please make sure you are familiar with the qualification specification, which outlines all learning outcomes, assessment criteria and centre requirements. The qualification specification and factsheet can be found on our website here.

Keep on trucking with our new LGV qualification

Highfield is continuing its support for the new apprenticeship standards in the logistics sector by launching a new qualification aimed at anyone looking to develop the skills and knowledge to operate as a large goods vehicle (LGV) driver.

The Highfield Level 2 Certificate for Large Goods Vehicles (LGV) Drivers (RQF) covers areas such as planning deliveries, loading and unloading, driving safely and efficiently, and operating technology and equipment.

The qualification, which has been developed to support the Large Goods Vehicles (LGV) Driver Apprenticeship Standard, has a total qualification time (TQT) of 180 hours with 119 hours recommended as guided learning (GL).
