Primus Protective Consultants was on hand to provide security as some of the most famous names in music came together to record Band Aid 30 last November.
The Cardiff-based security firm – which is a HABC Approved Centre – stood guard as stars gathered on 15 November 2015 to record the chart-topping song, proceeds from which have gone to help fight Ebola in Western Africa.
Primus was tasked with providing security personnel to man the event, as well as completing risk assessments, barrier design plans and creating and implementing the accreditation system. They also carefully coordinated the arrival and departure of the stars to make sure the day went smoothly, liaising with the authorities to obtain all the required permits and permissions. And the firm even got a credit on
Ban Aid 30 was the idea of Sir Bob Geldof, and is the latest version Do They Know It’s Christmas? charity. The recording included world-famous musicians such as Bono, One Direction, Chris Martin and Ed Sheeran.
