NEW: Education and training qualifications to replace PTLLS/CTLLS

ptllsHABC has announced the withdrawal of the following PTLLS qualifications, which will have a registration end date of 31 March 2015:

The certification end date of these qualifications will be 31 March 2018.

The decision to withdraw the qualifications is due to the introduction of the new suite of education and training qualifications which have been designed to replace the PTLLS and CTLLS qualifications.

Please ensure that you communicate this withdrawal to any learners who are/will be registered on the above qualification before the withdrawal date, but make clear that they will have 3 years to complete their assessment and claim certification.

The new education and training suite will include two new qualifications:

The Highfield Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF) provides trainee teachers with an introduction to teaching. Learners are required to gather knowledge about the role and responsibilities of a teacher and during the course will be encouraged to develop skills which will enable them to plan, deliver and evaluate basic teaching and learning sessions.

The Highfield Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (RQF) has been designed to prepare trainee teachers to teach in a wide range of contexts. The qualification will meet the needs of a range of trainee teachers who would like to gain a qualification which focuses on practical teaching. Learners will complete topics which include the delivery of teaching or training, planning to meet the needs of learners, assessing learners, and using resources in education and training.

If you would like to become approved for the new education and training qualifications, please contact your account manager who will assist you with the approval process.

If you are a HABC Approved Centre, please contact your account manager for more details. If you are not already a HABC Approved Centre but would be interested in offering this qualification through HABC, please call us on 0845 2260350 or email info@highfieldabc.com
